Today's Jam

This past Sunday I had nothing scheduled all day so I started to surf Band-in-a-Box styles and landed on this one. So I throw down some simple chords and jammed away.

BiaB style - Ground Airy Jazztronica
Tempo - 85 BPM
Piano - Lounge Lizard - Reed - Amazing Classic
Strings - Ultra Analog VA3 - Analog Essentials - Angel Pad
Guitar - String Studio - String theory - Hard Bow
Bass - Augmented Mallets - Poppy Marimba
Drums - SSD5 - Classic Reggae
Percussion - Kontakt - Brio Ensemble

I am playing the nylon string guitar, my Squire P-Bass, and via my breath and keyboard controllers the Swam Vari-Flute.

As always all comments are welcomed

Hey, Mario. Ground airy jazztronica, eh? I'll have to try that one out. I like that combination. Your jamming sounds like it could easily be on an Ibiza styled downbeat electronica album...the kind you relax to after being to a rave. I cannot play lead guitar as you do. I struggle enough as a novice rhythm player for the last 50 years which is why Band in a Box was such a miracle to me. I'm glad you found that particular style and shared it!

Hi Mario!
I like the rhythm / band on this one - nice relaxed feel, with solo duties shared around the team. Good nylon playing!

Mario,

LOVE this! Your guitar playing sounds excellent and really drives this tune. The Swam Vari-Flute was a great choice - fits so well with this style.

Great stuff!

Love the groove happening on this one, Mario. Great sound from the nylon string guitar, flute not too shabby either!

Here's a good way to start a song: choose a BIAB style that suits us. The result is there: Bravo Mario.

Thanx so much John for listening and commenting on my little jam. I stumbled on that style, liked the rhythm section, and just had to jam to it. I'm glad you liked it.

Thanx Andrew for listening and commenting on my guitar chops.
PS - loved that Tee-shirt! I'd buy it but I'm afraid my wife would agree with it.

Thanx Dave, Yes the groove was what I really liked about this style. That nylon string guitar cost $79 USD, I put a $10 piezo guitar tuning pickup on it and I record it straight into my DAW.

Mario, cool, laid-back tune in a style we don't hear much here. Nice playing on your real and virtual instruments. Very nice guitar tone, too. That's quite a vibrato(?) on the held flute notes from about 1:33 on! Like how you built the arrangement and ended big with the guitar. That never gets old.

Thanx Ron. What you heard is called flutter tongue. That guitar is a 79$ USD nylon string with a 10$ guitar tuner piezo pickup. I recorded it straight into my DAW.
