Hi Dave, Chris and Marty,
I heard the song some days ago on the channel of Chris on YouTube!
A fantastic song, Chris's vocals are beautiful.
The lead and bass parts were wonderful to follow and have a huge impact!
I love how Chris plays with the tension between the lyrics and the melody. Really well done!
Recently I saw a video where all of you were making a song. The video was 5 years old, but so nice to see.
I guess I was lucky finding it. It made me think, what if we -in the forum- have more of those videos from "behind the scene".
I know, it isn't always easy. If you have the lead guitar in Canada, the bass guitar in the U.S. and the vocals in Germany...
But, let's think about it...
Hans Hi Hans, Happy you liked the song! As far as the performance videos, we did a few of those back when Marty first started working with us, about five years ago. We stopped just because of the amount of work involved in recording the individual performances, and then putting them all together. But yeah, I enjoy going back and watching them sometimes too. I just wrote on Bob Dean's new post that I listened to it on YouTube - I clearly remember the video - and I know I commented on it, but there's nothing there now. So I also 100% clearly remember this song and video and I *know* I left a positive comment, but there's nothing there now. In fact if I remember correctly Chris also posted this video on her YT page and I also commented on that. … I've just checked and it's ditto, so I'd better log-in to YT ASAP to check out if other posts I commented on still have the comments. Anyway, "Counting Hours" is 100% quality all around: music, lyrics and vocals! Thanks, Chay!

IMHO this is your best to date
Loved it Well, we have done probably 50 songs since we first released this one, but yeah, it's special. Thanks, Mario! Oh, such a terrific write. Chris is quite a talented --gifted-- ingredient. Love that piano. The lyrics are sensational. Thanks so much for letting me give this ne a go. Dave, you and Chris are such a big and beautiful part of my life. The songs are always better with you in the mix, Marty, not to mention the extra fun factor when the three of us get together and work on these songs. So, thanks!

“The woman next door, she turns the radio on The thin white duke was a wonderful bloke, it is my favourite song For my love , maybe he sings to me Wild is the wind darling, cling to me Like the leaf to the trees” What a write! The lyric and melody are tender hearted and the bridge is especially strong. We love the piano intro, the vocal and the piano outro. The video has some very good photos ... especially the hand on the window, the moon and stars reflection in a window and the old radio. We liked the original but this version is definitely more powerful with Chris’s awesome vocals, Marty’s bass and the new drums. Your solo is killer and the mix is standout. And Ozone 12 in your hands rose the clarity of the soundstage and the mix dynamics to a very high bar. (We can hear that difference after listening to the original - makes us want to continue our revisits ) Outstanding! J&B
