Cool swing to this thing. The walking bass jives perfectly, Dave rings the bells and the story is a cool one too. Maybe I should sit on the porch n bang a guitar through a Marshall and see if it attracts the neighbours. LOVED the outro.

Hey, Marty. Now that's what I call a keeping the faith song! Sounds like you're jamming with the Doobies. Cool rockin' tune and a fun story. Great choice of Band in a Box tracks, too. Cookin' style, eh? I'll have to copy and paste that, then try it out. John Thanks, John. The Doobies were the opening act. We write 'em and BiaB let's us style them. Looking forward to what you come up with, John. Marty, Love it! Good write. Good vocals. Always COOL bass. Dave is on fire. Love that outro. Do Rock Star Guitar Guys ever retire? I don't think so.....(have you SEEN Keith Richards?) Fun video! Those are some amazing porches and gathering of pickers. (what are you using for video generation?) fj Haha. Keith! Thanks, Floyd. For this one I used Microsoft Designer and VideoExpress, but I'd recommend OpenArt. Hi Marty.
I loved it! The whole presentation shines with energy – lyrics, melody, performances, arrangement, production. My compliments to Dave and you for your real-human tracks. Both Dave's guitar work and your bass playing are excellent (as always). To my ears, this is yet another great collaboration.
Musical excellence! --Noel Oh, thanks so much for such kind words, Noel. Thanks for the invite, Marty, I had a blast playing guitar on this one And thanks also to everyone that mentioned my bit. Ha, it's an open invitation, Dave. Often when I write I think of what you'll be playing on it. "He loves his rock & rye." That's a good one.
That's a rollicking production. The lead and bass duet is sizzling and the vocals are high energy. Thanks, Scott. How 'bout this one: "You rock and I'll roll"?

We know several old rockers who are truly enjoying their retirement playing more than their early career days. "The old man's rocker's creaking on the beat. He loves his rock & rye. Through rain and shine he brings the heat. That old flame now won't die." Rock and rye ... so cool! Your bass and vocals are hittin’ the note, as always. And Dave’s excellent guitar is scorching hot on his solo. Fun! J&B PS Much more upbeat than our effort to write about a retired singer!
Our albums and singles are on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora and more. If interested search on Janice Merritt. Thanks! Our Videos

Marty,
The life of a musician, or rather the life of a music lover, is exactly like this song. I also started my musical career as a child, imitating The Ventures on the electric guitar. I later shifted my focus to composing music. Remembering those experiences, I enjoyed watching this video with a variety of emotions.
Best regards.

Very good rocker, I like how you and Dave shred your days away So many flames and carefree play on the porch that I hope it won't burn down Dave's once again amazing and your bass and vocals are not creaking, but fresh as a 60s teenager brought to us by a time machine. Keep on rocking the chair! Janne Thanks, Janne. I'm sure Dave's guitars have burn marks on them. Probably has to change the fret boards a couple time a year. One of your very best, Marty, no doubt, for me. The lyrics are superb, so clever! Love the double-meanings. The story, we've all been there ... that's how much of the genuine talent in this world ends up. No worries - we can still shred, just give us half a chance to create music, and watch us go Dave's guitar: on fire. Your bass: unobtrusive, but holding things together, nevertheless And your voice: excellent, really excellent! LOVE this song. I'm gonna bookmark it, in fact, that's what I'll do Bravi. Thanks, James. You're right. I've known a lot of musicians who stopped playing when people stopped giving them money and accolades. Then there are those who can't stop because it's all about the music, not fame or fortune. Hi, Marty. Heh. I see what you did with that title. Fun song! Rocking backing (especially Dave's guitar) and great vocals. Thanks, David. The trick is finding a chair with no arms to accomodate the guitar and bass. Cool swing to this thing. The walking bass jives perfectly, Dave rings the bells and the story is a cool one too. Maybe I should sit on the porch n bang a guitar through a Marshall and see if it attracts the neighbours. LOVED the outro. Thanks, Ray. Good idea, but it might just attract the town marshall. Thanks, Janice & Bud. The trick for this old guy was keeping the flame alive in the rain until his wife suggested an umbrella. Marty,

Shigeki Adachi Ha, that's great, Shigeki. Now I can see you Walk-Don't-Running all over the house. How about some Duane Eddy? I'm sure glad you made the switch, my friend. Thanks!
