Ai Tunes BIAB: _RECALL.STY Recall Grungy Soft rock Groove DAW: Audacity I play: acoustic rhythm, electric lead, live studio vocals Lyric video recorded live in my studio, and produced by myself! Ai Tunes is my original song, and it's all about the replacement of musicians and songwriters by AI. I used Realtracks. Over these human generated tracks, I put down my vocals, a bit of acoustic on my vintage and magical Gibson acoustic, and a few guitar licks to colour the sound. My story. Some days my head spins, as I try to get a grasp on the ever-changing music scene. In fact, AI generated tunes are awesome! They take the best from the history of recording, and synthesize all of that talent into a recognizable, and instantly consumable, tidbit of music! Robots do what many humans used to do. The same is true for AI generated tunes. So, that's the genesis of this track. My own genesis comes from the earliest days of punk rebellion. I was there, and though my music is not as fast or harsh as punk music, the attitude is still there. It's like folk-punk! That is the attitude that was expressed in this song, AI Tunes. Great song idea, beautifully executed in a song about a very contemporary subject.
I don't entirely agree with the point about predictability, because we've seen the same thing happening in "normal" pop music over the last few decades.
But you certainly have a point here.
Something that no AI can ever create is your smile at the end when you realize, "I nailed this one".
Enjoyed my listen!

Thank you BD Thomas! Your right about predictability. I am trying to create a uniqueness by using BIAB for beds only, and the Realtracks are so good for that!!

Drew, cool tune, engagingly performed. That vocal break on "tu-unes" is a nice, AI-can't-do-this touch. Love your tasteful electric fills, they add a lot of color. Super job on the vocals and acoustic. A very stripped down production, but no less perfect for the simplicity. "Real" indeed.
