Hi, I'm working on an original song and learning a lot along the way. I've loaded my first song effort into RealBand and added my vocals, a guitar, and trumpet solo. I recently added tracks via Band In A Box for Oohs, Aahs, and guitar support for the Choruses to the SGU file. I'd like to copy these 3 tracks from the SGU to the RealBand SEQ file; Is it possible to copy the tracks with their associate events from Band In A Box to RealBand?

I did see a Copy function withing BnB however this only seems to use within the current file, not a copy I can paste or import into my recording file. Thanks!

Thanks,
Frank

You are correct that the Band-in-a-Box copy function works only within the current file and not between song projects. However, you can export individual tracks from Band-in-a-Box as audio files and then use the audio files in RealBand.

Or anywhere else.

Or.... you can save the BB file with the tracks and then simply reload the project in RB. You might want to FREEZE the new tracks so they don't end up regenerating when reopened. Especially if you like the particular tracks. The new tracks will come in and you're good to go.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'll give the audio track export a try along with reloading the song, with the tip of freezing the tracks. I've been practicing this song and expect to be tinkering with it and thus figure I'll be rebuilding a few more times.

Thanks,
Frank

To copy a track from Band-in-a-Box to RealBand, first generate the track in Band-in-a-Box, then either drag-and-drop the track directly into RealBand (if using the DAW plugin version) or save it as a WAV/MIDI file and import it into RealBand. This ensures full editing flexibility while preserving the original arrangement.
