In addition to loading the lyrics as plain text, I find it very handy to be able to download or load in "synchronized lyrics" into Song Mater Pro (SMP) I.e. lyrics with time codes (saves a lot of time having place out the text over the music).
One can download synchronized lyrics from internet directly into SMP by specifying song title, album and artist and if found the lyrics is loaded directly into the right places in the song, very smooth.
But many times it does not find a match even though it is a very well known song and it out to be available. It might be that the search criteria is not correctly given.
Then - there are several sites on internet that hold synchronized lyrics eg "lrclib.net" and "lrc-get.vercel.app" so an option is to go to one of these sites and search for the song and copy the synchronized lyrics into a local text file with extension .lrc, and then load it as an lrc lyrics file into SMP, works fine and saves a lot of time.

I have no idea what SMP is. A Google search reveals many answers, none of which make sense.

While Song Master uses "AI Analysis" to determine a song's high level sections, chords, bars, beats, time signature, key, and tuning, it's not a song creation tool. It's a song LEARNING tool, and an excellent one at that. I've been using it for many years. It just keeps getting better. The developers (Aurally Sound) have also created a new application (Prism), that is very Melodyne-like and can work as a VST3 plugin for via ARA in DAWs that support it. Go to their home page and just keep scrolling down. SMP can perform many helpful tasks when learning a song. [url=]Song Master Pro[/url]

Yeah, it didn't make the first few pages of my Google Search. Since it appears to be yet another AI song creation tool—and I have zero interest in those (other than the companies I consult to), no wonder it has stayed off my radar. It is not an AI song creation tool. It is an musician's learning and practice tool with several very good tools for analyzing songs, audio, chords, and tools for audio to midi conversion, stem splitting and exports in xml and midi among other things. It is very fast and has a very attractive GUI. Many people find it useful and may use it as a first step in their workflow before going over to some oither type tools as a daw or biab depending on the task.

Mike, SMP over the past year has gained a large selection of users. For me, I would have to say it touches almost every project I work on in one aspect of music making or another. The guys above summarized well. I will only add I have been intouch with the developer on a couple occasions and am very pleased with his respibiveness to help his customers understand and use the product.

Even in those rare cases where downloading synchronized lyrics doesn't work well, is really easy to manually sync the lyrics by separating the vocal track, so you can see exactly where each phrase behind.
It usually takes less than 2 minutes.
