What a good remake. I remember it, vaguely. Everything sounds good.

Hi Dave! This has a great Latin-blues feel, and I agree with others about the piano being definitive. Everyone did their parts well - it all sounds very natural. Well done! Andrew Thanks for all of that, Andrew! Dave, this REALLY POPS! Very snappy backing track, and the bass is (of course) pendulous and cool. Great job transitioning the MIDI SuperTrack part to Chris' part. That turned out great. Chris' vocals are nice as always, and I like the vocal FX chain you're using here. Great tone and touch on your guitar parts. Really love your playing. Super mix, too.
Thanks for the reminder about the iZotope unmasking plugins. Can't remember why I moved away from them, but they are great at what they do. Thanks for all the positive comments, Ron, means a lot coming from you!

Hi Dave,
This is indeed a very beautiful remake of the song from 2018. You, Chris, and Marty are all very good at it. But I just read that Chris's vocals come from the original song. I hadn't heard that yet. She still sounds amazing! And does Marty's bass also come from the original recording? (I didn't read what you wrote about that).
On YouTube, I already wrote that I really liked the song, especially the vocals and your lead guitar. So, I've repeated that here, because that's exactly how it sounds!
And the song almost sounds familiar, but I can't remember hearing it before. I just found the title very intriguing. I hoped it had something to do with important changes in politics, but oh well, let's not talk about that...
What you wrote about the plugins; I did exactly the same thing; I got them from Waves and I only use the Vocal Rider (there are 4 versions of it), and a few years ago I started using Izotope. Now I mainly use Ozone for mastering. So, funny to read that!

Man, Dave you sure know how to put a mix together...great vocal, BiaB band and your guitar work is always tasteful and apropos for anything you do...never heard of the bass player though...bass players...right? y'all are always top notch! Thanks for the listen and comments, Dan! Dave and Chris, this is excellent. Great vocal, harmonies, guitar leads, backing tracks and mix. Super piano part Chris. This remake is fantastic. Loved it. Thanks, Mario.

(I love all your remastered versions, because now I have the chance to discover all your fantastic older songs that were released before I joined the forum) A great song with a super mix, tight bass, and tasteful guitar playing. And as always, Chris is the icing on the cake. Enjoyed my listen a lot PS: thanks for your production notes. It seems we have similar philosophies. I sidechain/duck everything and his little sister, and I’m known for having more buses than audio tracks Not sure how many more of the old songs I'll redo, might see about doing another new one next. As far as the production goes, I'm always trying to get better, and there is always something new to learn. I almost have as much fun with that aspect as doing the actual song Thanks for the great review and the support, very much appreciated! Hi Dave
I definitely agree with others that this is a great remake. Very sultry moody vibe, really enjoyed it. Great stuff.
Kind regards Thanks for the listen and comments! Man, i've been in a lot of recdording situations over the last 58 years, but the best time of all is recording Blue Attitude songs. Y'all can hear how incredibly gifted Dave & Chris are. When i get to play to a track with his guitar and her amazing voice... well, no words --you get it. Love this song. Those lyrics are just... WOW. Love the way that gal thinks and how she puts it into words, then sings them like no one else can. Chris blew me away the first time I read one of her lyrics, and continues to blow me away. Just a remarkable person! And so are you!

Excellent remake and it definitely “pops” more with the changes and addition of Marty’s new bass.
The lyric is very interesting and the video clips are so enjoyable and supportive. Chris’s vocal and piano are great and the MT piano track fits perfectly. Your guitar works it’s magic all through the song, Dave.
Thanks for the mix notes: It sounds great. Those drums pop. We use an older version of Neutron for unmasking … need to get that version! The new vocal fx chain is ace. It sits perfectly. Is the reverb via Nectar?
Another fine remake!

Tasteful but not bland...urgent, intimate vocal, a hint of mid era Leonard Cohen in he melody & phrasing. Lovely guitar and Mr Bassman does his thing oh so well.

Excellent tune Dave love the descending chords. Super vocal and lyric. Excellent backtrack. Love Marty's basslines. Piano was cool. Guitar work was awesome. I have really noticed a difference in your mixes. Excellent separation between the vocals and instruments. Super wide and airy. Well done..

Hi Dave.
You and Chris are a powerhouse of excellent music. This ticks all the boxes: great bass from Marty, excellent vocals from Chris, first class guitar work from you, and a truly satisfying mix to listen to. I really love your and Chris's presentations. Without exception, everything that the two of you do is top notch (and then some).

Terrific collaboration. Excellent performances from everyone. Solid all the way around. Well done. What a good remake. I remember it, vaguely. Everything sounds good. Thanks for the listen and comments Scott and Herb! Hi Dave,

Hans Thanks for the very detailed comments, Hans, and thanks for leaving a comment over on YouTube too, very much appreciated! To answer your question about Marty, no, the original recording had a BIAB bass track. Chris and I have been making songs together for the last ten years, we have only known Marty for the last five or so, when he joined the forum here. So while Marty is on all the songs from the last five years, there are probably 50 or so songs with BIAB bass tracks.
