I wrote this song in 1992. It never left my bedroom really. Now I've put it through BIAB and I really love this one. It's upbeat and rock n roll and carrys a positive message of hope. The song is based on Isaiah 55

Style is _MARSHAL.STY - honky tonk featuring an acoustic piano. Also included are two electric guitars, acoustic guitar, pop electric bass, and Nashville RealDrums
Mix of my own Takamine Sante Fe + 12 String Acoustics

Nicely done, Paul! That's a rockin' arrangement and your vocals are GREAT. The last section with the handclaps and harmonies is a nice way to wrap it up.

Great sounding RealTrack, too.

Hi Paul!
Well done on the use of 7ths in your chords - there’s not enough use of those in contemporary Christian music. They add a good rocking feel in addition to the style you chose. I am glad you brought in the congregation-style harmonies and hand claps in the final chorus to bring it home - still would’ve been a good song without them, but they took the song just a little closer to heaven and in a way, made me as a listener want to join in.
Well done!
Andrew

Paul, an outstanding Christian rocker
Great groove , vocal, and harmonies
Super backing band and mix
The lyrics took it over the top for me.

Hi Paul,

A very nice kind of Rock song!
Good band, nice extra's in it, like those electric guitars.
And your vocals are very good! Halfway the song you used more reverb on it and that makes is more dynamic.
Well done,

Hans

Thank you DC Ron for your encouragement. I appreciate it. I'm always trying to get that "record" sound especially on my vocals. I know I'm not X factor or Americas Got Talent but I strive to learn and get better.

Thank you Andrew for your encouragement. After my last couple songs being a bit on the serious sad side I wanted to do an uplifting song.

Thank you B.D.Thomas for your feedback. It took a bit of searching to get the right backing track but I think I found the right one and it does come down to the editing afterwards. Love the electric guitars!

Thanks Hans. Actually the main vocal track had the same amount of reverb on it throughout. I just added two more tracks of my vocal takes that I didn't use and added some harmony effects to them and added a different reverb to them to try and create a "Mamas & The Papas" style backing.

Thanks Bob, I had completely forgot all about this one. I've never written many songs but always wanted my better ones recorded. Love the process and its another song under my soundcloud belt.
