I have purchased BIAB 2026 right now but it will take hours to download the files. Looks for me that there is a lot of traffic ?
Or is there an issue with the servers at PGMusic ? May the admin checks this ?
My internet connection is OK and works fine just PGMusic downloads around 100 Kb/s -> 12 h for BIAB main program download

FWIW I just downloaded the main program in about 40 seconds (the new Full main program Install) as a test
If you are downloading all the Realtracks and stuff as well, yeah, that takes a while.
100Kbs is slow, but even at 360Mbs it takes a while.
Maybe an internet routing issue (?) I am in the US but quite a distance from PGMusic
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Go to speedtest.net and click on the GO button. That will test your internet speed. Let us know what the results are. Internet Service Provider has a lot to do with your download speed. Also if you are running a VPN service, close it out as that will decrease your download speed also. Look for the Download mbps reading.

yeah, I suspect other problems ..
maybe run a scan ..
you either have DNS issues or something worse .. nobody I know has ever gotten redirected at fast.com , and we use it as a testing tool with clients.
If you got redirected your download speed is likely not your biggest issue right now.

I suspect it was a fluke. I had multiple tabs open in Firefox when I tested it. Just accessed it again 5 times and no ad.
Back to the topic at hand, wondering if isledge solve his problem.

Thanks for all the input.
I checked the speed test -> OK full speed 100 Mbps
I checked with my mobile phone -> much faster Download > 500 kb/s even if mobile connection is low at home !
Switched back to wlan -> 20 kb/s
So the PGMusic Server seems to be OK but my WLAN doesn't work with PGMusic server . Other Downloads from other websites are working fast as usual.
So current situation is :
- Download at PGMusic with MacBook Pro and WLAN -> 17 KB/s -> 2 days
- Download at PGMusic with MacBook Pro via iPhone sharing -> 500 Kb/s 1h
- Download check at Apple 10GB with MacBook Pro and WLAN -> 15 min -> normal
- Try to download from PGMusic Website via Browser -> 17 Kb/s -> 2 days
So I get at any server full download speed via Browser with WLAN but not at PGMusic.com
But mobile connection and Install Manager seems to be normal.
So in general it seems to be related to WLAN but on the other hand all other downloads works normal.
Next I will check
- my settings in the router (Fritzbox 7490) -> disable IP6
- try other computer
Very strange behavior .

Update :
I tried "ping PGMusic.com" -> every 4th package lost
I tried "trace route PGMusic.com"
->
8 * po-1.ce04.mtl-02.ca.leaseweb.net
9 * * *
10 * * *
Packages lost at location above.
ChatGPT explained that this is typical issue at German Telekom routing
I installed Cloudflare Warp -> switched it on -> Full download speed !!! -> 10 MB/s
Crazy !!!! -> Thanks to ChatGPT -> so it is a routing issue related to German Telekom .
I had this never before.
I am wondering if I am the only German guy with this issue ?

I just purchased the 2026 UltraPAK from my older 2022 BIAB Pro. The download with the install manager says all of the files will take ETA of between 2 and 6 weeks! Download speed fluctuates between 640kbps and 2mbps. I have Frontier fiber Internet 500Mbps download and upload. Speedtest verifies that. No VPN. My Mac is a hardwired network connection.
I download massive libraries often (Pro Tools, Kontakt, East West, etc.) and never have an issue until this PG Music download now. I can download a Pro Tools 3GB update from Avid in under 5 minutes. I have pinged and done a traceroute. Looks good all the way to destination although latency is a bit high (95ms) with some intermittent packet loss, but not enough to cause this bad of a problem.
I am in the US. An IP lookup on the download server says it is in Canada, so that should not be an issue. I can only determine that the service providing the download, which looks to be Leaseweb hosting, is the problem here. Either not enough bandwidth or server resources.
Looking at the post above from from Andrew that says "We will investigate". What was found after this problem was investigated?

They definitely had an internal infrastructure problem. Woke up this morning and checked install manager. Still 1mbps. Was juggling the decision to call support and either buy a drive pre-installed or just ask for a refund. Suddenly late this morning download speed shot up to between 250mbps and 425mbps. All of the files are downloading at the expected rate ,and will be finished in about 20 minutes.
I had even noticed graphics screenshots on their website extremely slow to load yesterday. Too bad there is no network support over the weekend when they have a major problem like this and we have to wait until Monday for someone to fix it.
Looking forward to forum support response with the post-mortem analysis and explanation of what the issue was and why it took over 48 hours to fix it.
