This is a repost from seven years ago. I had made some revisions based on good forum feedback, but never relisted it for some reason. Rayc had concerns with one phrase in the lyric, "inviting stare," but it took me FIVE years to think up an option. Would "romantic dare" be better? I'd appreciate any feedback on that. EDIT: For the last line in the first verse, how about "I could see, there'd be no more despair." Not great, but better than what I've got.

I like the unexpected chord on the word ‘wide’ - unexpected for me anyway - and I like these little sonic surprises in songs. There is something very appealing about this line:
Every time I look at you I think that I might be okay
I think it’s because the syllables flow well, coupled with the upwards direction of the melody.
A cool, rocky love song, and that (second part of the) chorus is seriously catchy. Love it. As for the "inviting stare" (which does indeed sound a bit contradictory), just use "The way you looked at me A look that made me fully aware That the things I see in you and me ..." and call it a day.

This sounds great. A very cool song, nicely arranged and performed. Super use of BiaB instruments. That's a L-O-N-G decay at the end, but that's a nit.
FWIW, I do anything Rayc suggests within 5 MINUTES. Don't know how you put it off for over 5 YEARS.
I even have Rayc presets in my default song template.

That's a crackin' pop song. Really love it. Like the way you double time the lyrics on the last line of the chorus, or Tom did. I thought we were going to get a Brian May solo there at the beginning.
This is a very good Pop tune which surprised me a wee bit as it branches away from your usual Jazz/Blues style. I think it has potential and deserves a remix upgrade. Your fiverr friend did an admirable job but YOU could sing this even better! One of the advantages of singing it yourself is the discovery of "singability", meaning which words and syllables effortlessly roll off the tongue. If you find that you are "pitchy" when you sing it is probably the fault of the words.
Sorry to rant but I just love your vocals.
Oh, and here are some suggestions for that pesky line :

Be careful, because in France Okay is a brand of paper towels. This might seem like a disguised advertisement, but we'll let it slide. Aside from this questionable humor, the song is catchy, and the singer is OK. Laurent
Hi Bob. Some of those lines do sound slightly awkward to me. "I was still lost but, now I didn't care", is my suggestion. It does place an extra syllable but, that can add a little extra dynamic and melody if it's phrased right. The mix sounds fine but maybe there's a small eq cut needed around the lower mids to clear up the mud but I'm not a sound engineer.
