Two issues:
(1) It records a melody that I played from the KB correctly,
but does not play it back correctly. It skips notes.
(2) When I transposed the work sheet, I got two-part harmony I
didn't ask for. It kept the original notes in the melody from
the first key it was in. So I had to re-record the melody in the new key, since there wasn't an easy way to delete the unwanted notes.
When they test this, do they check ALL available time signatures?
I realize that waltzes aren't seen that much anymore, but should they
be ignored?

BTW, I would attach the file in question,
but there is no attach button anywhere,
or anything resembling that - -
It says I can attach a file when I edit, but no one says how.

Another issue I noticed:
The only time division it allows is 3 to a beat, in other words you can only notate triplets if they are less than one beat. This is is edit mode. But the melody notation doesn't allow anything else in regular display mode either.
I'm wondering why there is such an artificial restriction. Practically every waltz I have ever heard allows at least a division into 8th notes, i.e. 6 per bar, or even 16th notes.
Especially puzzling, is when you consider that in 4/4 time you DO get 4 divisions per quarter note. But there they DON"t allow triplets.
Is there a way to change that?

There is a Notations Window Option that you may check out called Triplet Resolution (swing). It is probably on as defined by the style. If you uncheck that box, you should have 4 divisions for each beat instead of 3. You can also specify manually the number of divisions in a beat in the Notation window by right clicking on the beat on the brown part above the staff. There you can specify the divisions for both treble and bass clefs.

I remember reading about your issues a few years ago in the manual. Since the present manual is very large now, it'll take awhile to find what you want, but it's in there. Most of the issues posted here are covered in the manual. Later, Ray

It's in the forum FAQ's "How can I attach an image?".
It doesn't have to be only an image, it's for any kind of file. That's what the "URL" button is for in the bottom of the window you use to compose your message. Push the button and follow the prompts, just make sure the site allows a direct link to the file. There's tons of free sites that allow you to post pic's or songs, I don't use any myself but someone can chime in with some names for you.
