The Ketron SD is very popular here on the forum, but I think it is over $200. You might think about upping the budget, or look at a late model yamaha PSR keyboard to use as both an external soundcard and/or controller.

Roland and Yamaha make some starter keyboards that don't sound too bad for around the 200 mark. Or you could look for something used. Most used stuff is older and doesn't have the same quality of sounds as the new stuff.

A friend of mine has this one and it sounds pretty darned good for the money. Plus it is usb connect.

Good luch with the search.

Alot depends on how many inputs you need. The Emu 0404 usb is what I have and fits your budget. It has a great sound but you should research it first to see if it wll work for you.

Jean-Marc,
I would request more information before I begin to give you an answer. What kind of computer are you using this on? Laptop or Desktop? Do you want Firewire or USB? If you don't have a Firewire port, you're going to need to get a card to use that. If you do, does it have the correct chip set for audio?

As Josie asked, do you want a stereo pair input, or multiple inputs. The more inputs, the more expensive it is. Do you want a MIDI capability?

For basic USB connection with stereo in and out, I recommend this:
