Salve a tutti,
sono nuovo del forum ed avrei bisogno del vostro aiuto per capire se BaB è lo strumento che può fare al caso mio (è una settimana che entro nella pagina degli ordini, ma poi non vado avanti…) per fare il mio "studio di composizione e registrazione" prettamente ad uso casalingo.
Premetto che il livello che mi serve è assolutamente amatoriale e che a livello di software, MIDI, etc.. non ho conoscenze se non superficiali.
Posseggo attualmente le seguenti apparecchiature :
- tastiera GEM WK4 (1996)
- Sintetizzatore Kawai (circa del 1990)
- pianoforte Roland RP201
- mixer collegato ad un impianto casalingo + computer
- computer "vecchio" (2002) con scheda sonora Creative Labs Audigy 2
Cosa vorrei fare:
1) comporre (parola grossissima per me!!!!) brani musicali avendo magari a
disposizione anche alcuni arrangiamenti (come ci sono sulla tastiera per
intenderci) “globali” oppure divisi per strumenti
2) registrare sul pc in modo "live" tipo pianoforte e voce, oppure base
musicale, voce ed altro strumento, su tracce indipendenti per fare le varie
regolazioni
3) notazione musicale in "diretta" suonando con strumento via MIDI
4) notazione musicale "manuale" tipo con "mouse" (eventualmente per copiare
partiture e farle suonare)
Mi sembra di aver capito che per i punti 1 e 2 non ci sono problemi, ma i punti 3 e 4?
BaB leggo che è dotato si sequencer “realband”, questo vuol dire che potrei fare a meno di un prodotto tipo cubase)?

Ciao Simcat come già sottolinei tu stesso nessun problema per il punto 1, Band-in-a-Box è l'ideale; qualche perplessità permettimela sul punto 2, In risposta a:
voce ed altro strumento, su tracce indipendenti
il software non è multitraccia nella sezione Audio, può salvare il proprio arrangiamento su tracce audio separate, ma per registrare la tua esecuzione live in audio all'interno del programma hai a disposizione un'unica traccia stereo.
Punto 3: nessun problema, fattibilissimo.
Punto 4: teoricamente fattibile ma . . . quando lo fai prima butta l'orologio e avvisa i parenti che per un po' di tempo non avranno tue notizie! Scherzi a parte, per questo scopo ci sono alternative più pratiche, ad esempio con RealBand o altri software dedicati. RealBand in particolare ti permetterebbe di fare a meno di Cubase, e non è poco, è un software che ha bisogno ancora di qualche limatina ma promette molto bene.

Finalmente ho acquistato BaB!
L'ho scaricato via internet e stasera provo ad installarlo!
Mi darò un po' di tempo per vedere se almeno riesco a fare qualcosa da solo, ma sicuramente, vista la mia "pochezza" con questi programmi, MIDI, etc... chiederò il vostro aiuto!!
