I still can't say enough how unbelievable the Realtracks sound, but the biggest limitation is that BB doesn't recognize chords really well.
It should be able to work as well as the chord recognition of a Yamaha PSR-3000 (I have tried many of these arranger workstation, and I can safely say that Yamaha make arrangers with a faultless chord recognition ).

BB doesn't work quite as well, unfortunately. For example , with Realtracks 'Ballads' I was writing a chord progression for the chorus:

C, G/B, Am, E/G# , etc

all well until the E/ G#, an E major chord with the G# in the bass, also called a secondary dominant. BB made a mess of that chord, with notes outside of it, if not out of the key.

I could write an E instead of a first inversion, but that defeats the purpose for which I bought the program: it should allow me to write almost anything. I am not going to throw away the decent and hard earned knowledge about harmony that I have. When I compose on my Yamaha PSR-3000 , there is never a chord that I can't write, which is really great.

Please, PG Music....there's no other program that sounds like BB, but we need faultless chord recognition. The program should be able to play the progression EXACTLY as written, with never anything more or less, unless it's wanted by the musician.

PS. I have hoped for a workaround, namely by changing the style, Realtracks, etc. ,a very time-consuming activity, and I have not succeeded. There's always a chord that I can't write with BB.
Sad but true. Hopefully PG Music will fix all that in the future versions. For now I'll have to lean back on my hardware arranger.
