Just when you think you are on top of it...........another little problems pops up that stops you in your tracks.
I had generated a song in BIAB and on a chord sequence rested drums, strings and bass for 4 bars. I then imported the finished song into RB. When I listened back I decided I wanted to bring the drums back in 2 bars earlier than before.
The next chord in the sequenc was written in as Dm.bpg, but, I wanted to bring back the drums.
How do I edit the above chord in RealBand so that it brings the drums back in? In other words I want the chord to read - Dm.dbpg.
There doesn't appear to be a way of doing this in RealBand.

Just highlite those two bars of the drum track and click "Generate/regenerate track- (none) (selected region)" This will only work IF the drum track Title is GREEN if it's BLACK just highlite the 2 bar area and "right click/select & generate real drums" and choose the drums you want. It'll only do those 2 bars and leave the rest alone.

Many thanks for the reply John, but I'm not sure I understand your answer. The 2 bars in question are currently set to Dm.bpg. This was as it was imported from a BIAB song meaning that for these 2 bars all instruments were rested apart from Bass, Piano and Guitar. However, I now wanted to bring in Drums as well, just for these same 2 bars.
What I have found so far is that all the time the chord is written as - Dm.bpg it will not allow me to add Drums. To do this I need to be able to add a "d" to the extension for the drums. All the Re-generation facility seems to do is regenerate drums that were already in there.
I suppose my question is:- How do I edit the rests (shots, pushes etc) for Real Instruments on a chord in Real Band?

Just click on the space were you want the drums to come back and type Dm.dbpg. Then highlite the 2 bar drum part as I mentioned above and regenerate the part.
OR go back to BIAB and fix it there.Much easier.

Sorry to be a pain, but, I already tried that. For some reason I can't type in that extra 'd', it won't have it. It just won't let me edit the chord.
I agree that the "simple" thing to do is to go back into BIAB, but why can't I edit chords in RB? Are you able to? I thought this was supposed to be possible.
Many thanks for your time though John, perhaps this is just another step on that learning curve.

Yes I can change chords. Just click on the chord in the chord sheet,enter the new chord & click somewhere else. Done
