Searched thru the forum, but couldn't find an answer to this...
I raise/lower the volumes on each of the instruments - save the file (with volumes, etc.), but when I play it back, volume on all instruments is reset to 90 - if I stop the playback and select each one, the saved volume is there... but I need to hear the revised volumes to hear the new mix.
Is there a setting somewhere that sets it always to 90 ?
Also. more times than not - when I have a chord with a bass note other than the root (A with an E bass) - on playback it cuts out for a split second... is this a 'bug' ?

Go into Save Song with Patches (ALT F2) and make sure the 'Save all settings with songs' is checked when you save. If not, the default style volumes will be used - usually 90.
Is the bass problem Midi or RealTrack? If Midi, does it happen on each playback? If not, you can freeze the bass track when it is correct. Try a different style and see if the problem persists. If it is a RealTrack, that is a different issue completely.

Like I said, I do 'save all settings' all the time, and the songs always play back at 90....so I never hear the mix properly...
I would expect the saved volume settings to be reflected in playback, and they are not...
The bass note problem is simply a BIAB file/style - nothing fancy... doesn't happen EVERY time, but enough to be a PITA... and sometimes it will play the root bass note instead of what's written....

About the volumes resetting to 90, we had this problem very briefly when version 2010.5 was first released, but it was quickly fixed with a patch. What version and build are you running?
About the playback cutting out, I have not heard of that before. Suggest you start a new thread just about that.

Thanks. All I can tell you is, yes, this used to be a problem, and it isn't anymore with 2010.5.
I do recall that, at one time for many years, the only way to get the Save to work properly was to save the song while it was playing. Try that.

A possible culprit for the volume problem may be found within the chosen style. The style's defaults may be overriding the volumes you are trying to set in Biab. Open the style with the Stylemaker ("Alt F9"), and click on the "Misc" button. Look to see if "Allow Volume Changes with Style" is checked.
