Hi everyone, First of all I love working with biab. I play somewhere between 10 to 12 shows a month all with biab. Sometimes its just me, sometimes I have 1 or 2 come along.My question is I have found a few songs I would like a twin guitar part added to biab. Which way would be the best. I can export my song to protools record my part can I then inport that guitar track back into biab. Or should do the same thing with realband and then bring it back also. Or can I just record the part straight into biab. If that would work can I hook my guitar which is mono reduce down to 1\8 in. sterio and plug straight to computer. I'm probaly making this way to difficult

Hi John,
Do you mean that you'd like to add another guitar RealTrack to your song? If you have an empty track in your song (Soloist, Strings, etc) you could just open up your RealTracks picker and assign the 2nd guitar to that empty track directly in Band in a Box. You can do it the other ways that you mention as well, but then you won't be able to take it back to Band in a Box afterwards.

Hi Will When I first started with biab 2004 ver. I was able to record vocals in biab. what I want to do is something like that only record a part thats part of the recorded ver. I have recorded midi . but this one really needs a real guitar part.

You should be able to record a guitar track like you did before.
Hooking your guitar direct (as you mentioned) will not yield good results though. Use the 'line out' of an amp or FX unit.. to the 'line in' on computer.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

It can be done but remember the audio ends up as a seperate file from the *.mgu file and if they get seperated from each other you're lost. Very cumbersome. For someone playing out that much just open your songs in RB and go from there. If you decide you want another part just add it. Multiple outs as well. Multiple VSTi/DXi inst. And you don't have to do anything to the BIAB songs. They'll just open as in BIAB.
