Hallo an alle BiaB-Fans.
Ich muss mir einen neuen Rechner zulegen. Habe an einen i7 mit Windows 7 64 Bit gedacht. Hat jemand Erfahrung in Verbindung mit BiaB und Realband 2010.5 ? Sollte man doch bei 32 Bit bleiben?

Hallo Helmut,
ich bin vor etwas einem Jahr von 32- auf 64-bit umgestiegen und hatte damit keinerlei Probleme.
BIAB und RB laufen unter Windows 7 64 bit genauso wie unter Window 7 32 bit. Es ist beides auch eh nur 32-bit-Software, die WIN 64 in einem 32-bit-Modus ablaufen lässt.
Ich hatte anfangs nur das Problem, dass CANON noch keinen 64-bit-Treiber für meinen älteren Laserdrucker anbot, den gibt es aber inzwischen. Also schau erst mal, ob es für deine alte Hardware (Drucker, Soundkarte, Scanner) 64-bit-Treiber gibt. Wenn ja, würde ich immer auf 64-bit umsteigen. Und bei einem neuen Rechner ist ohnehin meistens ein 64-bit Windows drauf.

Danke für die schnelle Antwort.
Ich werde auf 64 Bit umsteigen. Cubase und NI läuft sowieso mit 64 Bit. Wenn BiaB emuliert wird funktioniert die neue Funktion (Track nach cubase ziehen) noch?

Hallo Helmut,
kann ich nicht sagen, da ich keine "echten" 64-bit Versionen von Musiksoftware verwende. Cubase gibt es auch nur in den neueren Versionen als 64-bit-Variante. Ich habe aber nichts Gegenteiliges gehört. Daher gehe davon aus, dass es funktioniert.
Wenn Du native 64-bit-Software installierst und parallel dazu 32-bit-Software, dann musst Du aber bei den plug-ins aufpassen. Die können nicht überkreuz eingebunden werden.

Hallo Helmut,
Die Antwort ist "ja". Ich benutze zwar nicht Cubase, aber es funktioniert in Sonar PE und Reaper (beide 64 bit) problemlos.

Ich habe Intel i7 mit 12 GB Ram und nun da XP user auch das XP Prof X64 Funk sogar mit Komplete 6 sowie Cubas (Studio x)
ach ja hatte nur XP 64 Bit Treiber für ,eine andere Hardware bekommen so vor 1,5 Jahren. desshalb XP 64 und nicht Windows 7!
