I guess in the mixer window I could add all tracks to a group, and do it. But what about in the Tracks window?

Just curious, what would be the value of this,
mute existing tracks to try recording another take?

Although I have no idea why you would wish to have this facility, you can open the Mixer and use the Volumn Slider in the Column "ALL" to set file output to Zero. Alternatively, use the Solo Button and select an empty track.

I sometimes just want to audition a vocal track with a rhythm guitar to check if either has any pitch problems, while I am in the Tracks window, so I can cut and paste a better segment from another vocal track. I do this by muting all tracks except the two I want to hear. It would be quicker to unmute two tracks, than to go down the line muting 8-10-12 tracks. If there isn't that function in the Tracks window, that's ok, I'll just waste 5 seconds more of my life, obsessing over something no one would probably ever notice. ;-)

Use the solo button
Highlite a track, hold the ctrl button and highlite a second (or even a third) track, then hit the 'S' icon to turn Solo feature on.
Only highlited tracks will play.
