Asio4all is free, sounds like a gimmick to me
ASIO is often not necessary ...

jt3, If you do that chances are your computer will be history. NEVER do any of that sort of free scanning. BTW you don't need ASIO to record in RB.

Thanks guys that is what I thought. All I want is to record 1 maybe 2 parts more than what I can do with biab. To make a song sound like the song or alittle closer. I have a Hosa interface cord I just bought. I recorded into biab but the laticy wasn't right so I was told so I needed asio to fix it. any other ways to make it work. One more thing I have protools on my other comp. So I have an Idea what I want in realband but where can I find out some tricks to get it to work for me

What model Hosa, so we can look up specs?
If you go to options-preferences-audio tab, and then click the drivers button, what drivers are being used now?
If 'soundmapper' that may explain the latency.. choose the Hosa device itself.

it is a Hosa track link interface cable. When you go to opt. there is no input driver listed but it will record just out of sink with the music. it starts close but by the end of 4 measures its way off. Thanks for taking the time to help me John

An update. When I record in realband the laticy is good right with the music. But to record in biab is still off any thoughts on that? John

Record in Realband sounds like the answer. Most of us do the starting work in BiaB then move to RB for the recording anyway.
Or post this question in BiaB forum, maybe someone there will know. Are you sure you have the exact same driver selected for audio?
