Hi Folks,
The free version of Sampletank is now the fully functional version. Of course the free library remains the same but there are several good sounds included. (IMO of course). For anyone interested in adding some sounds for RealBand I thing it's well worth the download. You can check it out at the IK Multimedia site. Look for free products to the right and down from the top a little.

It does have a couple sounds I liked.
Where does it say it's the full version now?

Where it says "full-featured". The older free version had some restrictions. Now, you should be able to load soundfonts, second party libraries and so forth.
I didn't download it because I already have the full version but it's my understanding that they have also streamlined the reg process. (I got that from another forum). If that's so, you might not need your install file anyway.
I'm a hugh SampleTank fanboy in spite of it's several flaws (biggest is the small unreadable gui). I managed to get in on some deals for it and several libraries a while back and I'm lovin' it. It's like a rock for me in XP sp3. Reports are that it is also stable in Win 7 bridge mode.

Thanks for posting this. Yes, it is now the full-featured engine. We did introduce the new Authorization Manager, you can run it as a standalone to authorize this. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I bought the group buy recently is this any different from that?
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.

The group buy with the many XPansion Tanks? The 500MB sample library will pale in comparison to the ~7-8+ GB from that. It is similar to the free XT2 "sampler" library that also came with that group buy. Thanks!

Good lordie, a guy from IK is here. Firstly, thank you so much for this incredible free software. Second, thanks for checking up on us.  I can vouch for the reg, download, and authorization being easy as pie.

Hi Rob,
You should already have the full and latest version. Next time you run it, hit the little i up at the top left. Then look under the fan on the back right and you should see ver. 2.5.4. If you see anything less, then it would probably be just as easy to download the free version as to download the update.

I have to probably re-build my entire music setup on my laptop, and one of the things that brings pain to my gut is having to go through IK multimedia registration processes for my legal copies of Sampletank and Amplitube. They came with my Tracktion 2 software I bought years ago.
The pain and suffering that IK registration requires makes me loathe those that illegally copy software. The rest of us get punished as a result.
I might forgo reinstallation of ST and go with this new free version. I think it's probably a similar soundset to what I had anyways.

Hi all,
Thanks for the download link. I have downloaded the application but its only 17.2 mb. Do I need to download the 500mb samples separately as I can't see a link to that?
