No offence to anyone who lives in Alabama. This is a joke song for my comedy cd for boaters. I know there have been several on this Margaritaville song but here's my take. What to you think?
I'm looking for something better for the first lines but can't think of a rhyme for the 2nd half of the line-
For example I'd like something like this-
Living on corn bread-------------------- (admirin' my new shed?, maybe I'm brain dead?,
Alabamaville-(Margaritaville parody)-by Eddy B
Livin' on welfare, waitin' on healthcare, cleanin' my shotgun with 3 in 1 oil
Blowin' some smoke rings, on my front porch swing
Smell those hot dogs beginning to boil
Chorus-
Wastin' away again here in Alabamaville, reachin' for my last pitcher of malt
Some people say that there's a woman to blame,
I'll I know, It's always my fault
I don't know the reason, I ain't changed all season
Nothin' to show but a skid mark or two
But it's a real beauty, a real tutie fruitie
How it got there I haven't a clue

My life is a big flop, got fired from the IHOP
Got a raw deal so I cruised on back home
I busted my fender, in a rear-ender

Thanks MT I had thought of something along that line
It would need something other than "OUTSIDE" how about "fixing" my tool shed or something else. Anyone? That should do it for this tune.
