Hi,I use Realband loads for handling audio data,and for the midi,i use the Sonivox Double bass and fender keyboards,works great,however i have a Arp and moog plugin which work too,but with these i have to select the soundpatches "synth sound effects" as it's running otherwise each time i stop the song and press play again,it resorts back to another patch,i've got 100 patches on each synth,so,frustrating,of course when you select convert midi into audio data it obviously won't select the patch you listened to beforehand,my bandstand plug in does that too,it runs more smoothly on band-in-a box however, Can anyone helpme??

<Plugins keep resetting there patches!!>
It's in the midi file!!
Sorry, couldn't help myself....
Patch changes (technically called "program changes") are embedded in the file itself so you can make all the changes you want but as soon as you rewind and hit play, it reverts back to what was programmed into the file. You have to hit F2, look at the event list and remove those program changes. Then your changes will stick. This happens a lot with freebies you download from the web. There could be other events in there you want to strip out too so get familiar with all the different program, control changes and sysex strings that could be in a midi file. All these things can bite you when you least expect it.

Yeah,yes!,
I see,sorry,this year's been a crash course in midi,and what you say makes sense,i have spent a lot of time recording on a digi-recorder,then chucking it on realband and once i've mastered it all i don't think there's any real nead to change to another Audio handling program,Realband seems just fine

FWIW - remember that when you work in BIAB you can save patches and harmonies to the midi tracks. When you save the mgu file and "open" it in RB, those patches and saved settings will be on each midi track imported from BIAB. As Scott says, highlight one midi track and click F2 to see which permanent settings are on the track - remove the ones you don't want. The above you may know but in case you don't . .. my 2 cents.
