OP WillyBob Newbie W Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 12	Is there any way of doing a midi Intro with 2 4 or 8 bars and have the realtrack come in on the 3 5 or 9 bar because any tune I'm trying to do is spoiled with the realtrack as it comes in right at the begining and it ruins the whole effect. WillyBob

WillyBob Why of course. You can have any one play at any bar. You need to look at "F5". It is bar setting and you can use it to do exactly what you are requesting. They are automatically assigned by the forum software and we can't do anything about it. I'm not sure what you are trying to do in total, but let's take a guess. On any one instrument, you may have either MIDI or RealTracks (or a RealDrum track). So, assuming you have version 2010 or 2010.5, you should be able to use F5 as suggested to mute or unmute each track at any bar. This should allow you to play MIDI then Real Tracks. The trick is, you have a limited number of total tracks to work with: piano, bass, drums, guitar, strings, melody and soloist. If you need more, you might like to experiment with the supplied companion program, RealBand. BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors

WillyBob Well I ain't no expert, but I have been around long enough to know a trick or two. Pretty quick and dirty, but Does this help? F5 - Bar Settings Oh, and one last point, RT's will not play the melody, they only solo and comp. His latest video, Convert MIDI Chords into AI Vocal Harmonies with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
