A BB user since dos days and love it,as of late some problems come to lite: most annoying is the plug in feature. When in that mode and initialize FL studio,Reason or ableton live my sound card disappears. If I load some tracks into my daw and close bb re up my asio in prefs the tracks will play but become a mess of sounds after a few bars. Running Asus MB with 4 gig ddr2 6400 ram dual pentium and 500 gig drive ,Delta 66 card. BB is working from the ultra pac hard drive and is ver 2010.5 latest build.The plug in won't work at all on my asus g50 laptop it just dissapears when i call it from the menu. This is a valuable asset because we play real music ie, blues swing jazz country,if we were into the other music the more mash would be fine and wouldn't need BB just samples and loops. I prefer to play it and BB fits the bill Thanks jziel

ASIO drivers are meant to run one proggie at a time usually.
Having two DAWs calling for ASIO drivers may be the problem.
Try MME and see if it fixes the problem.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Rharv is correct. I have to run BiaB with MME and Sonar with ASIO to get the plug in to work.
My wife had her driving test today.
She got 8 out of 10.
The other 2 jumped out of the way!
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

jzee, Welcome to the forum.
Another combination: I run BIAB using MME (which is really WDM) and SONAR using WDM. Plug-in mode works fine.
Just to follow up on rharv's post, what he is describing is a limitation of ASIO. It has nothing to do with BIAB.

jzee, I looked more into this. You say that running the plug-in on the laptop is the problem. This laptop is described as a "gaming laptop" of vintage 2008. I could not find any mention of a soundcard.
What are you using for a soundcard? What do you have selected as your MIDI Out in BIAB? DXi checked?
Is your video driver up to date?
Did you try Opt, Return to Factory Settings in BIAB, just in case it is something that got corrupted?

Just updated to 2011 Haven't tried the plug in yet, but i'm running an Edirol fa66 on the laptop. Can't figure out the itouch app now.Disabled the firewall and entered the Ip address found in the ip settings to no avail .One for the road ,I opted for the 20 pk add on how do I get to it???? I've installed it to the ultra hard drive and the computer bb directory what in effect is it? Thanks for the response I see I'm in good company and will try the suggestions once I settle in with my new version Stan

Hi,
ended up having to buy a usb soundcard. I run BIAB with Asio4all, and whatever other program via the external card.

Hi Stan. I'm having a little trouble following all the questions in your posts. I can address some of these issues but not others. May I respectfully suggest that you might get better advice if you create one post per problem? Then we can develop each thread with the info you need.

Sorry Matt first time on a forum ,I always kinda figured out most problems but BB seems a little more cantankerous as I get older and my computers become outdated.I will post a few questions mainly about the new app I have been using beatmaker and few others without connection problems but this one refuses to connect
