I have a Realtracks_shots_hold_2011_2 file.
Is there supposed to be a first part of the shots n holds 2011 too?
Other than that I also have the old "Realtracks_shots_hold_1 to 3".

I downloaded the $99 upgrade and only the Realtracks_shots_hold_2011_2 file was included. Maybe Kent or someone from PG Music will comment on these differences.

My Mega Pak download page shows 2 Real Tracks Shots and Holds. File 1 shows 880MB and file 2 is 500MB.

I have - realtracks_shots_holds_2011_2.exe -. I don't have _1. Any one else have _1 and _2 both?

I'd be completely happy if I had just one more guitar.

Did a complete uninstall\deleted of all prior BIAB 2010.5 - beginning of time files and reinstalled 2011 from the external HD of the UltraPak. Still no Shots_Holds_2011 folders or files to be found on either the external or internal HDs.

Hi Dan,

The file I had was a download file that I had to install (I purchased the $99 upgrade). As far as BIAB is concerned, I don't have any folders in my \bb directory that are shots and holds. I suspect that this means that the shots/holds are added to the respective Realtrack folders.

Try creating a small song and use a couple of shots/holds and see if they work.

Regards,
Noel

Hi Sandra,

I also was a bit confused and asked the PGM support on thursday. They said, it's correct. The "special 2011 update" only comes with one shot&hold-patchfile:

---------------------------
"Von: PG Music Customer Support [mailto:support@pgmusic.com]
Betreff: Re: shots
that is correct shots2 is the only shots file within the SpecialPlusPak 2011. "

Hmm, but I don`t have the "Special Plus Pak 2011" I upgraded from 2010 (I had RT 1-82 only) to the 2011 EverythingPak via download.

Gotta ask them I guess.

Can you tell me where these are located. I installed 2011 UltraPlus from the USB HD to my computer hard drive, as usual. I can't find files or folders called Shots_Holds. I did a windows explorer search in bb with no results. Thanks.

Those are the names of the downloadfiles. I don`t really know where those files install themselves to.

In the old version (2010) the shots/holds went into sub-directories of a library folder. Haven't looked at the new version so it might be elsewhere.

Okay, just looked. One Holds folder under the realtracks / library folder in BIAB, and it is about 1.3 gb. It appears to have holds and shots, guessing on that based on the names of the files in the individual folders.

Interesting size difference. I have 1-173 as well. I did erase the +/- files, maybe took some from the holds folder at that time.

For the record, I did not +/-. With XP, I'm going to wait a bit.

I'm showing 2.97gb in \bb\RealTracks\library\Holds, for holds 1-173, using XP-ntfs.

I'm wondering about the size differences. Perhaps if I had realtracks_shots_holds_2011_1.exe and ran it, it would take the folder to 2.5gb? Then if I deleted some RTs it would take it to 1.3gb?

I'm going to wait until Monday and see what PG Music has to say, but I'm thinking realtracks_shots_holds_2011_1.exe might be needed to bring all the files to the latest version.

I'd be completely happy if I had just one more guitar.

The library folder on the usb drive sent from PG Music is 1.36gb, same as what is on my internal hard drive after installing the program.

Update:

I contacted PG Music and received a link to realtracks_shots_holds_2011_1.exe. (Thanks Kent, you folks rock!.) So it appears you do need both files.

Later,
Jim
