Hi,
I find this a bit annoying when previewing styles in the stylepicker. If I preview a style i.e click on a style within the stylepicker and then press play, and then use the arrows at either the top or bottom of vertical scroll bar to peruse some more styles, each time I click it causes a break in the style that I am currently previewing.
I wonder if anyone else can replicate this? Thanks,
Paddy

Best team in the world John Actually just using the scroll wheel on the mouse to see other styles will cause the music of the current playing style previewed in the stylepicker to break up as well. I hooked up the 2010 hard drive and this problem is not present. Paddy

Does that happen for you when previewing MIDI-only styles, RealTracks-only styles, or both? What are your MIDI and audio drivers?

Thanks Andrew, I am using the microsoft gs waveable synth with the dxi vsc/dxi enabled. For audio its MME. Also checked is route midi through to midi driver.
It usually only happens when I press play to preview a style in the stylepicker. I then use the mouse wheel to scroll to see other styles while I listen to the orriginal previewed style. The scrolling by the mouse wheel or clicking on the vertical scroll arrows in the stylepicker cause the sound of the playing previewed song to break up. If I don't scroll through the stylepicker the music of the previewed style plays fine.
I have adjusted the Driver latency (default =0) in the midi setup to 395ms which seems to have helped. Breakup in sound seems to only happen when I am using the stylepicker. I am running windows 7 (32bit) on a quad core machine with 4gb of ram.
Any other ideas appreciated.
Thanks Paddy

That happens even on my quad core with 10 gigs of memory and 64 bit. I don't touch the mouse wheel, it seems to interrupt the data stream. It's VERBOTEN to me. I've learned to live with it. In my case the fancy HDMI video setup is what I blame, possibly an interrupt sharing or conflict thing.
But if when Any audio is streaming and I mess with the mouse wheel it cracks up the audio.

Hell Paddy,
A couple of ideas for you...
-try switching to Classic themed display instead of the Aero display. -Are you using a laptop? Try turning off all the power-saving options (control panel) -Update drivers for your video card. You can find out what it is by looking at 'display adaptors' in the device manager.
Let us know what you find.
