Most of the time I use BB to practice jazz and have been selecting the Classic RealStyles to find a suitable rhythm section. I have just installed 2011 and I am disappointed to find there are no subheadings in the list of Classic RealStyles. There used to be a 'jazz' sub heading. It is time consuming to sort through all the RealStyles to find the one jazz style that you want.
Am I missing some new trick to find the Classic RealStyle I want?
Another thought on jazz styles. It always seemed to me that there are many more combinations of rhythm section in the full list of jazz styles than was indicated in the Classic RealStyles list. However, to use them, one had to kill off the soloist. Again, this seems an unnecessary step if you only ever want a rhythm section for the file. Frankly, good as they are, I do not have a great deal of use for the soloists most of the time. Does anybody have any thoughts? Again I could missing something, there being so many different ways of achieving what you want to do with BB.

Classic RealStyles are still there. Scroll down the Category in the StylePiaker.
For your other issue, either edit the RealStyle removing the Soloist or save your new style under a different name. If you load your RealStyle and edit/remove the undesired part, there is a Save Style option in the RealTrack picker that will save your 'new' style to the name of your choice.
I use customized styles and multistyles for my songs. This gives you total control over what you want. But browsing through the RealStyles, it seems like BIAB gives you several options for each style - some with piano, some with guitar, etc. If you can't find what you want, editing the style is the way to go.

Yes, thanks Rachael, it does look as though I might have to customize my RealStyles so that I have a number of rhythm sections for each of the jazz styles I need. I just thought that, since PG Music has already done this, it would be nice to have these without the soloists attached. There are a lot more subtleties in the different jazz styles "Jazz RealStyles" than maybe some people realise and I need them all! The "Classic" RealStyles were a great idea that saved me a lot of time. I remember Peter telling me that is exactly why they were introduced. Even so, I never thought the list was as comprehensive as it could be. The fact remains that the subheadings within "Classic" RealStyles have disappeared in BB2011 and that creates a problem for me. BB is a working tool for me and I want to be able to do things quickly - most of the time.  However, I think I may have solved my problem. I have discovered you can start with the major list of "Classic RealStyles (the one that no longer has subheadings) and use the Filter button to create your own list of suitable jazz styles. I just need to work out exactly how to get both swing and even jazz styles in the same list. BTW, I still think it is not a comprehensive list of the styles that PG has already created in "Jazz RealStyles" - but with soloists attached. I think I really prefer the subheadings that used to exist in the BB2010.5 "Classic" RealStyles. Of course, I also want all the rhythm sections that have been created for "Jazz RealStyles" but with the soloists detached. Call it a suggestion, if you like. Or perhaps there is another way around it?

Check out the StylePicker editor - the 'Edit...' button in the StylePicker. There you can make your own Categories, etc that show up at the bottom of the StylePicker. Organize BIAB or custom styles any way you like. That may be what you want? Pg 113 in the 2010 User manual.
