Hi one and all and a Happy New Year!
How can I edit the volume levels of different pieces in Real Drums? For example, I can use the edit window to increase the cymbal volume for MIDI drums but what about Real Drums? Is there a way to, say, increase the cymbals level or the kick drum level only?
By the way, I've just purchased the BIAB 2011 upgrade.

Robert, it will take some work, if it is even possible. If you can do what you need by EQ, that is easier. Remember that the RealDrums are audio files and the mix is not alterable, only the patterns that are played. Take a look at the /BB/Drums folder, and navigate your way to a drum pattern you like. You will find .TXT files with control information that you can edit. Best to make a backup of the file first, and be aware that it may be overwritten on the next update, so save a copy of your altered file too. One adjustment that is easy is the relative volume of A substyles versus B. Somewhere on this site, there is a tutorial about making your own RealDrums where there are instructions as to the meaning of all the entries in the .TXT file. I'll try to find it. The realdrums preference screen also has a way to increase or decrease the volume level in terms of dB. That is how I did it. I found that for some reason it was more important in the 2010 version than 2011, but that could just be my ears :-)
