Hello folks, I have done a rough chord layout of a song in biab and then unfolded to one large chorus, I like doing the layout this way. I have now decided to add a few extra beats within the song and have used edit to add an extra bar, but what I probably want is 1 1/5 bars added. Basically what I'm asking if anyone understand me is to move the whole chord sequence forward by 6 beats from a certain point within a song, but not at the start or intro? Just noticed the nudge chords in edit maybe that is my answer  thanks

You can also insert bars. Edit > Insert Bars... This may work better than nudge for your purpose if you want to keep the remaining chords on the same downbeats they were originally.
If you want to insert one and a half a measures you could start by insterting 2 bars, then decrease the number of beats in a measure to get that 1/2 bar by pressing F5 and changing "# of beats this bar". Then in the measure you want to go back to 4/4 press F5 again and change "# of beats" to 4 again.
Note, If you use nudge instead of insert bars you will probable have to manually edit the "bar for end of chorus" box to make the song longer.

Joe, yes, Edit, Insert bar(s) will move your chords. If you already have a melody entered, you may need to shift that, too: Melody, Edit Melody, Timeshift Melody (ticks) where 120 = one beat.

I assume you meant "blank".
In songs with Tags, I've sometimes had to adjust the melody placement after inserting measures and adjusting the number of beats per bar as the OP indicated he was going to need to do. I don't think it is entirely predictable, or at least I haven't figured it out fully, so I said "may".

Matt, you are absolutely right.
But I have not yet figured out how to insert those at a given place in the melody : the programs always inserts them at the beginning, which is not what I want... How can I say "I want you to insert those at bar 126... "? Kind regards, Yvan

I did figure out : you go to Melody/Edit Melody Track/Insert Beats in Melody/ ... at BAR 126 for me / Nb of beat : 4

Use F5 to add the amount of beats to that bar if it's going to be different then the normal time of the song.
