besitze Biab 11 (vorher 9) und komme einfach mit Multistyles bzw. Substyles nicht klar. Immer wenn ich zu a+b noch c+d mit anderem Style eintrage und entsprechende Marker setze, wird nur Style 1 abgespielt. Was mache ich falsch bzw. wie sind die richtigen Schritte?

Gab's in BIAB 11 überhaupt schon Substyles? Oder meinst Du BIAB 2011?
Version 9 ist von 1999 und Version 11 glaube ich von 2001 oder 2002.

Erstmal sind immer nur a- und b-Parts aktiv. Mit Rechtsklick auf einen Marker über "bestimme Substyle" c+d, e+f, g+h usw. nach Bedarf weitere hinzufügen. Dabei öffnet sich jedesmal der StylePicker, wo du den Buchstaben jeweils einen Style zuordnest. Dann einfach die Marker setzen und es sollte funktionieren. Rechtsklick auf einen Marker zeigt die Style-Zuordnungen auch noch übersichtlich im Kontextmenü an.
Stylewechel in beliebiger Zahl gehen übrigens auch ohne das Setzen von Markern. Im Takt, in dem gewechselt werden soll, einfach mit F5 die Takt-Einstellungen aufrufen und oben unter "Stylewechsel im aktuellen Takt" mit ".STY" den StylePicker aufrufen und Style auswählen. Der Wechsel wird dann wie andere Takteinstellungen auch mit einer roten Umrandung der Taktnummer angezeigt.
Beiden Varianten funktionieren bei mir (BIAB 2011, Build 313) fehlerfrei.

Danke, Ralf,
ein bisschen bin ich weiter. Habe eigentlich alles so gemacht, wie es im Handbuch steht - also zu a+b den Substyle c+d bestimmt und einen zweiten Style ausgwählt. Dann brav die Marker gesetzt - und nichts wechselt. Bei der Methode Takt+F5+Style funktionierts aber tatsächlich, und zwar immer dann, wenn rot umrandet ist. Das passiert bei Methode 1 nicht.
Vielleicht hängt es auch damit zusammen, dass ich dem 1. Takt den Grundstyle zuweise, der dann da für alle Takte gelten soll. Oder aber hat der Song Styles gespeichert, die trotz "Reset all" nicht rausgehen.
Zunächst aber komme ich mit der Methode 2 ja hin. Danke.

Methode 1 sollte aber genauso gut funktionieren. Bei mir tut sie es jedenfalls.
Werden denn bei Rechtsklick auf einen Marker für a, b, c, d die unterschiedliche Styles angezeigt?

ja, einwandfrei, nur wechselt nichts. Auch habe ich festgestellt, dass Styles mit RealTracks sich offenbar nicht mit Midi-Styles vertragen. Kombiniere ich einen Real und einen Midi kommt bei Midi nur das RealDrum. Aber vorerst komme ich schon weiter. Nochmals herzlichen Dank!

Hallo Rudolf,
das Mischen von reinen midi-Styles und reinen Real-Styles macht auch keinen Sinn.
Nur Midi-Styles sind "echte" Styles, in denen zahlreiche Parameter den Stil der Musik pägen. Reine Realtrack-Styles enthalten dagegen keine Parameter zum Stil, sie sind eine bloße Zusammenstellung von RealTrack-Instrumenten. Die stilprägenden Parameter sind in den RealTracks selber enthalten. Daher kannst Du statt Multi- oder SubStyles auch einfach nur die jeweiligen RealTrack-Instrumente wechseln, das geht seit 2011 ja in beliebigen Takten. Und weil du jetzt jeder Spur auch mehrere RealTracks zuordnen kannst, kann man viel rumwechseln.
Auch mit dieser Variante bist Du nicht auf Partmarker angwiesen. Bei einem Stylewchsel über Partmaker würden auch keine Instrumente gewechselt (nur bei Midi-Styles), den Instrumentenwechsel musst Du selber über F5 anstoßen. Lediglich vorher leere Spuren würden bei einem (Real-)Stylewechel auch automatisch ein neues Instrument erhalten.
Stylewechel machen eigentlich nur bei Midi-Styles Sinn. Hier werden wirklich Musikstil und auch Instrumente gewechselt. Von Country zu Bossa zu Hip-Hop ist mit Midi kein Problem.
Hier wird wieder mal deutlich, dass Midi und RealTracks zwei verschiedene Welten sind - und dass bei BiaB immer mehrere Wege zum Ziel führen.
