Salve a tutti
Qualche anno fa ho acquistato BIAB Megapak (mi pare 2007). Ho tutti i documenti in casa (compreso il numero di serie).
Lo scorso anno mi hanno rubato il portatile su cui avevo installato il software, e quando sono andato a reinstallare BIAB sul nuovo PC, ho tristemente constatato che il Cd non risultava piu' leggibile.
Domanda:

Esiste una procedura che mi consenta di raggiungere un link o un indirizzo email al quale comunicare il numero di serie del programma acquistato per ottenere un nuovo Cd di installazione?
Esiste un link che, a partire dal software che ho a disposizione, mi indichi quanto dovrei pagare per l'ultima versione disponibile? :-)

Ciao Luigi, per quanto riguarda l'aggiornamento basta visitare questa pagina: PG Music - Band-in-a-Box for Windows - Packages come puoi vedere è possibile aggiornare anche le versioni precedenti alla 2009. Qui invece puoi trovare gli indirizzi email (e non solo) per mezzo dei quali provare a chiedere un aiuto specifico per la tua situazione. Anche a me succede la cosa che è successa a Luigi.
Ho acquistato biab nel 2006 con l'aggiornamento gratuito del 2007.
Ho usato il programma da allora fino al mese scorso sul mio vecchio computer.
Adesso che voglio installarlo sul nuovo computer comprato lo scorso mese gira a vuoto
nel lettore.
Che vuol dire questo?
Me lo puoi spiegare? Grazie

Le cause possono essere diverse, dal disallineamento delle testine del nuovo PC all'usura del CD originale (ecco perché si consiglia di farne sempre un backup)
Prova a pulirlo delicatamente con un panno morbido pulito, al limite con una goccia di alcool nel panno (non sul disco)

ciao
Tentare di pulire il disco.. hai ragione. E'la prima cosa che ho fatto. Inutilmente.
Ho provato a installarlo anche sul portatile di mia figlia. Niente da fare.
Comincio a pensare che il disco abbia qualche protezione riguardo al numero di copie da installare.
In passato però, in seguito a formattazioni del disco causa virus, non mi aveva dato problemi quando
lo reinstallavo.
Non penso che sia dovuto al sistema, perchè sul nuovo computer acquistato, d'occasione, gira sempre
xp come sul vecchio.
Qui credo ci sia una gatta che cova.

No, non c'è nessuna protezione per il numero di copie.
Se funziona, funziona sempre, a meno di graffi da usura. Di questo sono sicuro.
PGMusic non ha mai voluto inserire protezioni sul suo programma, di nessun tipo.
Per loro l'utente è sacro.
Prova a vedere se il sistema di permette di fare una copia del disco o ti da qualche errore.
Puoi farlo semplicemente da WIndows, anche XP, oppure usa Nero se ce l'hai. Ma non è indispensabile.
Se è il disco che ormai è difettoso, non te la farà fare.
Altrimenti, se ci riesce, ti darà una copia probabilmente meglio allineata alla testina del tuo drive, e dovresti riuscire a installarla.
