I also get this General Error followed by a number of Access Violation Errors on a Vista Home Premium system.
However, the MetronomePro worked until a week ago without problem. Running the program as Administrator seems to circumvent the problem.

No error with Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

I have the same error than you .....
It was working well (win 7) till one week ago and from that date, i get the above error.
Did you get some feed-back from PG technical support ?

delete file "MetronomePro.mpro" and run program again
