When I right mouse click a chord and select "Play Current Chord" or try to play it from Chord Builder nothing is played. I even tried turning off Realtracks and setting my audio to MME but still no playback. Is this a bug in build 314?

What do you have selected as your MIDi Output Driver in Opt - MIDI/Audio Driver Setup?

I have Microsoft MIDI Mapper selected. I also have "Use VSTi/DXI synth" selected and using Coyote Forte. The song plays when mouse clicking the "Song Play" button but the single chord won't play.

Thanks. Are you using ASIO or MME audio drivers? (Opt - MIDI/Audio Driver Setup - Audio Settings)

I tried both. I first saw the problem using ASIO then tried MME but still could not play the chord.

Always the old 'return to factory settings' trick that fixes just about everything except lunch.

I tried a return to factory settings as Barry suggested but still the chord would not play. I played around with the MIDI driver settings and found that the chord would only play when I set the MIDI output to Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth so problem solved. The song still plays through Forte if "Use VSTi/DXI Synth" is checked or plays Realtracks if those are generated. Judging from the low quality piano sound I hear when playing the chord it seems to be coming from the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth.

Hi Dave,
Great, switching to the GS Wavetable was going to be my next suggestion.
If the "Route MIDI Thru to MIDI Driver" box is checked in Opt - MIDI/Audio Driver Setup, then you'll hear the "Play Current Chord" feature (or anything using MID Thru) being played with your MIDI driver when using MME, or with your DXi Synth when using ASIO.
