I am running BB 2008.5 on a widescreen monitor. BB starts maximised, and you can see all the chords/bars in the main area at the bottom. However, when I un-maximise it, so it's running in a window, it doesn't adjust the width, so the right hand bars on the screen get hidden.

Should it adjust to fit, and if not, how do I manually adjust it, as I don't want to use it widescreen all the time?

Hi Dazz,

I have BIAB 2009 and I can't resize and see all the bars either. I use 22" monitors and can't take advantage of them with BIAB because only later Versions of BIAB resize the bars.

Very disappointing. I wanted to resize BIAB and open NotePad next to it so I could write and follow my lyrics.
I use JammerPro and it CAN do it.

I thought I'd be able to make good use of a larger monitor with BIAB, but no dice. It seems the only fix is to upgrade. This should have been fixed. An upgrade is not in my budget and I'm happy with 2009. I was happy with 2008. I also love PT12.

I also don't need it full screen all the time. It's HUGE on a 22" monitor.

Wayne,

I have discovered that Realband, which I purchased at the same time, in the same megapack, behaves properly. You'd think they'd share the code

Thanks for the info though

Yes RealBand can do it. It has separate windows for each displayed feature.

I'm glad PowerTracks12 can do it. I use it all the time.

I never knew BIAB couldn't resize until a few months ago. I was very surprised.

Wayne,

P.S. I corrected my first post. JammerPro can resize any window to any view.

BIAB resizes correctly for me in version 2011.

Hi Matt,

Yes, I think BIAB fixed the resizing thing in 2010 or 2011.
We had a thread up a short time ago about how to set up BIAB menus and stuff differently for the way each of us work. Customizing toolbars and stuff. That's when we found out that before 2010 you can't resize without losing the BARS on the right.
Too bad, because some users moved stuff they used the most to other areas of the screen. It was very cool. But then I found out I could move stuff outside the main window, but only see all the bars when maximized.
It was interesting to see what others were doing.

Thanks, Wayne. I don't remember that thread, but it sounds interesting. Was it in Tips & Tricks, perhaps? I don't have time to go there as often as I might like.

Here's a 'left of centre' solution.

I am running BB in a VMWare virtual machine. If you start BB when the VM is in a window the size you want (not maximised), BB will maximise to fill that window. You can use it like that (I am actually running the VM under linux), or even maximise the VM. BB will still have it's chords sized for the small window, so you can then put other stuff on the spare desktop space to the right.
