I am still learning, and was wondering... If I have a song that's sounding good, that is a combination of an older midi style, with substituted realtracks and realdrums, can I save that setup as a new style to re-use in future songs - just to save the manual steps of doing all the substitutions etc again.

Yes. After you have the instruments defined in the parts, go to the RT picker and hit the Save Style button. Give it a name and you're ready.
