Hej Lindbjerg.
Mit navn er Martin. Jeg er fritids lejrbåls sanger og guitarist ved hyggelige stunder med venner. Jeg har tilsyneladende også et vist talent for at lave sange. Nogen stor musiker tror jeg nu ikke jeg er, og jeg får heller aldrig samlet et band, da det vil kræve mere tid end jeg kan prioritere. Derfor lyder Band in a box som det helt rigtige. Jeg har læst en del om produktet og overvejer begynderpakken. Der er dog et par ting jeg ikke er helt sikker på. Men det jeg forestiller mig er:
Jeg indlæser akkorderne fra min sang. Derefter indsynger jeg sangen på den melodi jeg har valgt. Dermed er akkorder og melodi inde i programmet og derfra kan jeg så enten bruge de arrangementer som programmet foreslår, eller vælge andre eller selv kreere en bestemt basgang for eksempel. Derudover er der selvfølgelig en masse features som det vil føre for vidt at komme ind på her. Men alfa og omega for mig er, at jeg kan indsynge sang via mikrofon, og eventuelt også lægge flere stemmer ind, eller måske tilføre bølgeskvulp, fuglefløjt eller andet som MP3 filer fra en digital mikrofon jeg har.

Hej Martin
Jeg er helt sikker på, at Band-in-a-Box er noget for dig. Den fremgangsmåde du beskriver er nu ikke helt rigtig. Fremgangsmåden er følgende: 1)Indtast akkorderne til melodien (incl. intro og coda). 2) Find et nogenlunde tempo. 3)Vælg hvor mange kor, der skal være. Find en stilart. Det sidste kan godt tage lang tid, da der er virkelig mange muligheder. Du har nu et playback, og er nu klar til at indspille fx vokal. Husk, man kan kun indspille et spor! Band-in-a-Box er ikke en egentlig sequenser. Man kan som sagt indspille et enkelt audiospor og bagefter mixe og evt. brænde til en CD. BIAB er fantastisk til at generere et playback, men er ikke velegnet til at bruges i hele processen fra ide til færdigt produkt. Men det er ganske let at efterbehandle og mixe sporene i en sequenser, når man har dannet sine spor, - man trækker dem simpelthen fra BIAB til sequenseren. Min anbefaling til dine behov er Band-in-a-Box samt en begynder sequenser. Når du køber BIAB følger RealBand gratis med. Her kan du indspille næsten lige så mange spor du ønsker. Du kan også vælge en lidt mere avanceret løsning som fx Reaper, Cubase Elements etc.
En sidste ting: Du skriver du overvejer at købe begynderpakken. Det kan jeg kun fraråde. RealTracks og RealDrums, som følger med de dyrere pakker er det du har brug for. Jeg formoder, du har været inde på Pg>Music's hjemmeside for at høre demoer.
Hvis du har flere spørgsmål ang. BIAB eller yderligt udstyr som lydkort etc, kan du bare spørge her i forummet. Hvis der er andre der har lyst til at give Martin et godt råd, er de mere end velkomne.

Jeg ringede til PG music og blev guidet til at få Coyote DX installeret og nu virker alt. Måske skulle PG overveje en løsning der ikke kræver så indgående kendskab til computer opsætning. Jeg havde aldrig fundet ud af det selv, trods det at jeg har et vist PC kendskab.

Jeg synes ikke at opsætningen er vanskeligere at udføre end i andre musikprogrammer. Man skal altid finde hvilke MIDI ind og ud man vil bruge, samt audiokort mm.
