I've read the Help file and tried to do a tempo change using the Fill command. Seems simple enough. The tempos show in the tempo map window as if all is okay. However nothing happens to the bars that I want the tempos to slow down for at the end of the song. What am I doing wrong of not doing? Thanks.
Sorry forgot to mention that all tracks are midi and this is not a biab song.

Hi Stan,
I am not sure what you are asking, but as far as I know, Tempo changes do not affect the Bars or Notation.

Hi Lyn. Actually, I don't care about the notation. The tempo changes are not taking effect as the song plays. In other words, it's like they are are not there except for the tempo set at the very beginning. The tempo map instructions are easy enough to follow, but maybe I'm not doing some steps before I make the changes? Does something have to be "selected" in the tracks before I do the change? There are 6 midi tracks in total. Except for selecting the whole track, I haven't really learned how to select just portions of a track. I do know how to select multiple tracks though. Am I missing some steps?
I guess this really isn't a big deal since I can do what I need in a different DAW, but I thought that RB would be the DAW to use in this instance. I made these midi tracks myself, actually in Sibelius, so I know that there are no control codes inserted that might cause me problems. In fact, I checked the Events list just to be sure. At this point, I'm at a loss as to why the RB tempo changes don't take. The initial tempo that I set works fine, though.

I find no problems with changing Tempos in Midi tracks.
Try the brutal method to confirm whether or not the Tempos do change. Go into the Tempo Map and insert a massive change every 8th Bar doubling and halving the base Tempo and see whether or not this works. I have tested with a start of 115 followed by 25, 150, 50 then 115 with a steady slow down over the next 8 bars. Don't forget to close the Tempo Map and then open up the Main Tracks Window and look at the Bar spacing across the top which reflects the changes in timing. This worked as expected - if your system doesn't then I would suggest a reinstallation may it may be necessary or rename two folders in your RealBand Folder "RealBand.ini - config 3Kb and RB.CFG 7Kb" by adding OLD to the names and reopen RealBand to reset the program settings.

Thanks Lyn. At least you got me thinking. I cleared everything out in the tempo map and started over. It says it doesn't clear the first entry, but it did on mine. When I did the Fill again, it worked. I did make some larger reductions and the results were more profound. Appreciate your help very much.
