It's a problem that started with this version (2011). A song will start off well but will suddenly start dropping some or all of the notes. It can sound interesting when it is supposed to be playing back chords and instead just plays one note from each triad. Other times it just goes dead a few bars into a song. I haven't tried the beta but it doesn't mention this problem.
At least one old problem was fixed. One of the recent builds cured that wobbly timing problem on midi render, but the dropped note one is still there.

Hi John,
Can you please explain, step by step, the procedure you use when trying to render your files. That way, I can duplicate your actions and see if I can replicate the problem. Also, what are your computer specifications and operating system?

Render to Audio file-->DXi - Direct Render (save WAV file). Or any of the other render options. None of the other settings seem to matter.

Hi John, I note you have a 64-bit operating system. I interpret that to mean that you are using Coyote Wavetable as your DXi synth for rendering. I've just had a look at the PG Music support page and notice that there was an update for Coyote Wavetable on May 18. http://www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htmHave you installed this update? No, should have mentioned I have Coyote ForteDXi. The MS sounds are awful.
It's only rendering that is the problem. If I just hit "play" on BiaB it sounds fine.

Hi John,
If the ForteDXi is an expired demo version, it will occasionally skip in rendered files. If you have an alternative DXi to render with, trying that could help determine the problem.
