I've been using RealTracks with no problems until yesterday. I opened a song which had played (and rendered) fine, then changed a couple of chords and the tag/ending. Now BiaB doesn't even try to generate the RealTracks style selected, it just goes straight ahead and plays a drums-only accompaniment. What can have gone wrong?

Hi Keith,
When I read your post, a couple of questions sprang to mind. Are any of the tracks frozen? Have you got the latest update (#318)? If the answers are "no" and "yes" respectively, it might be worth trying the Opt | Return to Factory Settings and then choose the top option in the first instance.
Note: BIAB will save a copy of your previous settings so you can always reload them if the problem isn't solved by a rest to factory settings.

Keith, Noel,
I am having the same problem.
Noel, I just added the 318 patch which did not correct the problem. Frozen track.? I don't think so but here is a clue.
It only happens when I import a build from my previous version which is BIAB2008. (I am using BIAB 2011 hard drive)
Also, when I import a build (either version)into Real Band, only the drum tracks play.???
I will post this in the proper forum. Just thought while I am here I would run this by you.

I haven't got the latest update, but I did freeze the song before rendering the first time. I assumed that the freezing would be overridden by the fact that I had changed some chords.

Hi Keith,
Freezing tracks overrides pretty much everything. For chord changes to take effect, it's necessary to unfreeze the tracks, make the changes and then regenerate the song.

As stated above, while opening an earlier version of BIAB (2008) they tend to skip a beat every fifth or so mesaure. As I stated above I have the 318 patch.

Hi Walt,
This is a puzzling problem. I have loaded older files from 2007/2008 and they work fine in my BIAB 2011.
Have you tried resetting to factory settings under options? In the first instance, I'd select the the top option and, if that didn't work, then I'd try it again with the bottom option. Keep in mind that you will need to exit and restart BIAB after performing this so that the changes can take effect.
Another thought that just occurred to me is, Do you run multiple instances of BIAB?
