Hello,
I have not visited this forum for a long time. So long in fact, that I forgot my login info and had to register as a new member. I have been using PowerTracks and Band-in-a-Box for years to edit midi files – currently using PT v.11.0 {4} and BB 2008.
I have no experience with recording. I recently purchased an extra PC that has no programs loaded (not even word), and not hooked up to the internet. I was hoping that I could dedicate it for recording only. Ergo, I’m here to ask for recommendations, suggestions for what I should load into the PC in order to get some good recordings.
Over many years, I’ve collected and tweeked lots of sequences and I especially want to use them through a Ketron module with vocal and solo instruments’ lead. I would like to stay with PT since I’m familiar with it and it fits a starving musician’s budget, but I’m open to any and all suggestions. Thank you.

Need to know more about the system.
XP, Win7 ??
Notebook or desktop?
RAM?
Sounds like all you need is a MIDI interface for the ketron and a decent soundcard to record with, but without knowing more about the system it is hard to recommend!

Do you have a PCI slot? If so, that would likely be the most reliable route to go.
Maybe one of the Delta cards; 192 or 1010lt or 1010.
I know the 1010lt has MIDI in/out and eight audio in/outs, good drivers for win 7; a great deal for the price.
Other members will probably have suggestions too.
