A few months ago I remember reading a comment here by someone who mentioned the funny expression "You can't get there from here..." and a few wise/witty responses to it. I think it was very funny, but I can't remember what they were... Does anyone else remember it? If not how can I search it?

I know of a joke that goes something like this An American drving through Ireland winds down his window and askes this Irishman how to get to Dublin The Irishman thinks a little and then offers: "Well, if I were you I would not start from here.." I can think of a lot of things I could apply this to including my job

Thanks Keith, you're DA MAN!!! it's exactly what I was looking for... (I actually responded earlier but I don't see it... it must be that I forgot to press the SUBMIT button twice.... LOL.)
BTW, I never know what's the best way to search for something like this on this forum. Can one search an entire phrase, or you just used some key words?

When I did that I got 10,000 hits! for everytime there was a There, get, etc... nuts!

I just searched "You can't get there from here" and the first hit was the site you were looking for. The second was this thread. Of course there's other hits. Just like any other other search engine.
P.S. You are using the PG "Search Site" box on the upper right of the PG page aren't you?

We were headed for a gig once and were lost. We stopped to ask a guy raking leaves for directions. His directions included "Head down here until you get to the 4 lane and when you get to the old Johnson place, make a left there."
My reply was "I didn't even know Johnson moved. Here's a beer. Thank you."
The old Johnson place? 6 guys from another state are supposed to know where the old Johnson place is?
