Try as I might I cannot get the realtime DX or VST effects to work. I have checked all settings and even done a return to factory settings but no go.
My original idea was to use Ozone 4 as a master effects but no audio plays through the effect.
DXi's and VSTi's are fine and play as normal. Just no effects!!
Anyone else have this problem?

I am using Coyote Forte. With midi tracks that is working 100%.
My problem is audio or midi if I put a DX or VST effect in the rack it does not add effects. I have tried all the effects - PGMusic, Cakewalk and several DX & VST effects.
Even the PD RTA effect shows no readings.
It just appears that either with ASIO or MME the audio path is not going through the realtime effects. I do have the item checked to use realtime effects.

Hi Kevin,
When you added Ozone to the signal chain, were you on the Synth Track tab, or Audio Track tab of the VST/DirectX Instruments/Plugins window? You'll have to be on the Synth Track tab, and make sure that the "Bypass" checkbox beside the effect is not checked.

I was on the Audio Track Lab and bypass was not checked.

I'm not at my music machine but there's a check box somewhere " enable dx/vst real time effects"

I am aware of that check box but it makes no difference whether it is checked or not.
I want to revisit version 2011 on my other machine and see if it works. Then I will upgrade it to 2011.5 and see what happens. I know it used to work well with Ozone.

Ok my bad!
I thought the effects worked on all audio from BIAB. They are only applied to the audio track recorded realtime with BIAB.
So you can't put a mastering processor across all the realtracks - at least not in BIAB. This is where RealBand is useful.

Hopefully we'll get the ability to "plugin" some mastering effects in 2012.
Getting a mixer in 2011.5 was excellent, but popping "Ozone" (or the like) into the chain would be brilliant.

The number one wishlist item for the last 10 years is for Biab to have more than one midi output port. When Real Band came out incorporating most of what Biab does that seemed to be PG's answer to that problem. RB has 32 midi output ports. For some reason it doesn't seem to be possible in Biab so you need to use RB. That's not some kind of second class solution, RB is a killer program.
