BIAB 2011.5 not rendering tempo changes correctly.
Build 325
If you insert tempo changes in your song, it will play fine in BIAB, but will repeat chords in the chord progression if the Real-tracks are rendered and sent to a DAW.

I confirmed this with support people last week and just thought I would maybe stop you from pulling you hair out wondering what went wrong with your song in your DAW.

It usually jumps back one measure whenever a tempo change is rendered.

FYI: It also does it in RealBand.

Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Studio One (latest version), Win 11 23H2 , i9 -10940X 3.3 GHz, 32GB Mem, a 4K 40" monitor, PreSonus Studio Live III Console as interface/controller. secondarily test on Reaper, Cakewalk, and S1 on Surface Pro 3 Win 10 (latest versions).

Thanks jpettit

I'm having trouble duplicating the bug. Have tried both modest bar tempo changes and extreme changes, but haven't seen any rendered repeated or jumped measures yet.

Does it happen on any song with tempo changes? Do the changes have to be on particular bars or do the tempo changes have to be really extreme?

Are you using the Render to Audio File dialog (the .WAV button in the toolbar) or drag-drop?

Do the songs need to have an audio track to show the bug?

If using the Render to Audio File dialog, what are your settings for these?

* Include 2 bar lead-in
* Include Drum Count-in sound
* Delay at start (seconds)
* Delay at end (seconds)

Thanks!

The issue does not show up in BAIB 2011.5 (internally) at all.
The bug only shows up when rendering to drag the files to an external DAW. (DAW plug-in Mode)

The error occurs around the point that a change in tempo has been inserted (again only in the exported files) (done with Bar setting tempo change)
Tempo changes for example 72-76 or 73-75, so relatively small changes will trigger it.
Yes the files are being rendered to WAV file format for import into a DAW via drag and drop.

I have 2 bar lead in off but it will do it either way
Everything is default I think.
The support person replicated it very quickly.

Thanks

Build 327 fixed tempo changes not rendering in export to DAW, but now
the count in flag state is ignored. In other words it always adds the count in for renders.

Test Build 327 Include count in set to TRUE and or FALSE
both yield the same results. Dragging files to Reaper.

Also Suggest:
Move the render to audio file options to the DAW option dialogue window.
Normalize TRUE/FALSE
Include 2 bar lead-in TRUE FALSE
Force Stereo TRUE /FALSE
At a bare minimum add these setting to preferences. They are kind of hidden now.
Thanks

Correct. Those settings you made (to remove lead-in) are for the render dialog, not for drag and drop. If you want renders with no lead-in bars, you could render them with the Render dialog.

It would be fairly easy for us to make the drag and drop follow those settings in the render dialog for including the lead-in, so we could likely do that for the final (non beta) release of build 327

Have Fun!

Hmmm
I have used drag an drop since it came out, and I am pretty sure that setting use to also cut the darg/drop count in.
But yes,... also see they Suggestions for consolidating the options.

Thanks
