I am ready to record along with tracks on realband but I can't find the option to tell the computer what input device I am using.
where is this located ?
Also, is there a way to align the tracks in the chord window the way you want ?
Every tim I try and do it it ends up inserting a measure I don't want or something.
I'm simply trying to achiev a visual so I can keep time while playing the live track.

For selecting the input use Options-Preferences-audio tab-driver button. Yeah it should be easier but that's where it is. Remember to click the 'move selected device to top' to make it the default device from then on. After making sure it is the only one selected. In the Tips section I made a video for how to get the chords and tempo map to work together. don't really understand the forum.. One time I could see all the people that had responded to this thread now I don't
anyway.. figured out the input.. great
I see some people were having trouble viewing the video.. I did too. It is not compatible with some versions of windows media player. I downloaded a free avi viewer (miro) and it works good. the whole aligning tracks thing is still a little foreign to me.. but I'll keep at it..

Mine is set up correctly rharv and I can not make the VU meters see input. Sitting right now with a key taped down to send a note constantly and no input showing up.

The input side does not move anything to the top. There is no click box for that. It DOES move the output side. Rob saw that last night when he remoted in to help me.

That's correct; only the MIDI output driver moves to the top. The MIDI input driver(s) just stay as they are listed. That has been the case as long as I can remember and in PowerTracks as well. However, as RHarv said, the top output driver is the default driver for all tracks; however, to select alternate MIDI outputs, you have to highlight them to be able to select them from the Mixer screen.
