Purchasing a new laptop and decided to try the Audiophile version of BIAB and RB. Question: is anyone running the Audiophile version from the PG Music hard drive via USB? Is the transfer speed OK for a live gig? If I have room, should I copy the programs and Real Tracks to my laptop hard drive and save the PG Music external hard drive as a back-up version?
Anything I left out? Thanks!

I don't use BIAB for a live gig, but if I did, I would definitely use the audiophile version because it is slightly faster. BIAB converts .WMA RealTracks to a .WAV format, and this saves that step.

Thanks, Matt. I don't use BIAB either, but I do use RealBand live. I should have said that I guess. Is your answer the same? I guess it would be, but I defer to your expertise. Thanks, Rick.

I do not know; good question. I would like to assume so, but that's just a guess.

Hi Rick,
A RealBand SEQ file aleady contains audio in WAV format (this is why the files are so large), so there shouldn't be any difference in loading times like there would be in Band-in-a-Box.
