With files like JGP001.MGU in Songs and Lessons -> 101 Riffs folders, I get the backing tracks, and the soloist's notes appear to play on the BIAB keyboard and guitar neck. But I don't hear the solo. No instruments are muted. What am I missing? Thanks.

Is it the soloist notes that you're interested in? Or is it the melody? It appears that the riff lessons are focused on the melody. Is the melody track pointing to a valid midi input?

Thanks, darryla, for your reply. It led me toward the MIDI Drivers dialog, which I had on MacOS CoreMIDI instead of Apple DLS. Changing it to Apple DLS got the soloist to sound. Sure appreciate your help.
