Hi,
I'm new to forums, so first sorry if I'm not using the format quite right.
I've been using BIAB for about four years, and I love the addition of Real Tracks that have happened since I first got the program. However, as a composer and vocalist who VERY MUCH favors styles in the Classical, Classical Crossover and New Age genres, I feel VERY MUCH lacking when it comes to having the right instruments for these styles. Pianos and fingerpicking guitars are GREAT(keep those coming!!!). I also love the fiddles. However I would LOVE to see Real Strings, Violins, Cellos, Harps, Oboes, Flutes, tin whistle (Irish)and Orchestral Percussion.
I see I'm not the only one requesting this and I ask you, PLEASE to consider this for next edition of BIAB and REALBAND!!!

Your post is entirely appropriate. No apology necessary.
Just thought I'd mention that I've had good success with some of the existing MIDI New Age styles. I tend to go for electronic sounds anyway, but if you voice them properly, i.e., use a good synth, some of the pianos, nylon-string guitars, harps, wooden flutes, etc., are quite convincing, especially when part of a mix.
As for orchestral sounds, I have had great success using Propellerhead Reason, half of whose soundset consists of such, in combination with BIAB. It's not easy; a lot of massage is required. Fortunately, Reason has a superb MIDI editor. For my part I wish they had more choral sounds, but instrumentally it's all there.
There are other threads going here about Garritan Personal Orchestra and other libraries of natural instrument sounds. Until PG comes across with exactly what you are requesting there's a lot you can do on your own with MIDI styles as a basis.

Thank you for your advice. The thing is, I'm not good on the keyboard, so if I had to do a strings or horns pass, I'd do a very sloppy job. I recently downloaded the free version of IKMultimedia's "Sample Tank", hoping that I'd be able to use some of its orchestral instruments, but I see it doesn't follow BIAB chord progression like the Coyote Synth does. Anyway, I'm taking an audio class and we are going to be looking into Reason, so I'll get a bit of a taste into the program and see if I can make it work for me.
Meanwhile, I'd still love to see BIAB developing Classic RealTracks...

There's a brand new instrument I posted about in the Off Topic forum, the Garritan Instant Orchestra, which deals in entire orchestral sections and effects rather than merely individual notes. I was going to post here as well to make sure Peter sees it, but your post seems like an excellent one to piggyback on.  I really think that some styles designed specifically with this instrument in mind would be amazing.
