I just picked up an iPod Touch 4G and have successfully ran the BIAB app and have been able to control Sonar via AC-7 Core Mini but cannot get BB Remote to control BIAB. I have read past threads here and watched related videos gleaning much info but still no success.
One of the videos show that when you start the BIAB server it appears in the Found Servers section of the app but it does not do so here. I tried typing in the IP directly that I received by clicking the Find My IP button within the BB2GO menu and this does turn the red x at the bottom right to green but I cannot open any files on my PC.
I am using a wireless router so I haven't gone as far as port forwarding as described in another video only because my router is not as easy to understand as was shown in the video. Google searches on doing so on my router have came up mostly convoluted. Plus the BB Remote instructions state that it shouldn't be necessary when using a wireless unit.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
BTW, I haven't used the BIAB app very much but really like what I see so far.

Hello,
These would be my basic instructions if I was walking you through it on the phone.
1. Connect your Ipod touch to the wifi in your house so it receives it's internet from the wireless router (this is done in the Ipod Touch Settings -> Wifi)
2. Run Band-in-a-Box server (bb/bbhelper/Band-in-a-Box Server.exe
3. Get Band-in-a-Box server to come up -> In Vista and Windows 7 it can be difficult because it hides in the taskbar (upward pointing triangle icon next to the clock must be clicked) Then launch the green and white wireless icon (which is Band-in-a-Box server)
4. Once it comes up you will see an IP written on it. That IP is to be written into the app on the Ipod when you launch the Band-in-a-Box app and touch File -> Server -> Connect.
Let me know how it goes. -Rob.

Rob,
Thank you for replying.
1. Done
2. Done
3. Done
4. The IP is somewhat jumbled up with several characters that are not normally associated with an IP address such as letters and special characters. Is the Find My IP button in BIAB not a valid IP address?
Like I said above, I typed this number in directly and the red x became a green icon of some sorts like it was connected. However, when I typed a valid directory in Open File nothing happened. Not even a loading icon. I let it try for 30 minutes or more even after clicking Refresh but no go.
Please let me know how to proceed.
Thank you for your support.

Rob,
I tried that procedure yesterday but I could not retrieve any songs on my PC like it was not connecting. I did it again after your post and it finally worked though the Found Servers was empty. The little green light icon at the bottom changed from a dash(?) to a check mark.
The Find My IP button in the BB2GO menu was throwing me for a loop I guess. It appears I need to use my PC IP and not the BIAB Server IP.
Anyway, thank you for your help. I am really digging this and the other BIAB app. Great work as usual, PG.
Cheers.
