I've been using BB/RB for over a year and read the forums all the time but have only recently started posting. I think the PG community is pretty amazing in the way they try to assist each other and share tips and such. And the company itself is really great, especially the sales support.
My question is, I have the Ultrapak 2012 installed on my home PC and Amplitube works fine in both BB and RB. I also take my BB external HD to work to putter around (during lunch, of course)so I installed BB/RB on my Laptop with all the files, including the programs, on the external drive. Also installed Amplitube (on the laptop directly). Everything seems to work fine except Amp3 doesn't show the BIAB presets. The AMP3 freebies and the grayed out items are there, but no BIAB. I checked my home set up and the presets (tgs extension) are in the bb\DX Settings\Amplitube folder. They are the in the same place on my external HD but AMP3 doesn't seem to see them and I can't find an option to force the program to search for new presets (they may actually be called patches). I tried copying the folder to my C:\BB folder on my laptop thinking it might be looking there but no luck.
Just wondered if anyone has any info. Thanks Steve

Here's the deal. The only thing you need to install on a computer to run Band in a Box is some font files for music notes.
NOW that said, there Amplitude program is a horse of a different colour.
The problem is going to be this:
PG music allows the grey area of using the software on more than one computer, just ONE at a time.
Many other software outfits are NOT so understanding.
I doubt you solve this short of getting two versions of Amplitude. I don't Amp myself you see, so I'm just thinking out loud that the base program is now free, and you might be able to just go download from the Amplitude site and use the basic program on both machines.
It does need registration or something, to be honest it looked convoluted to me, and after poking around with it, I don't do guitar, so...
Now, I am looking for a way to take a flute and make it ethereal and add some echo so maybe this needs out checking or checking out.

Amplitube does allow it to be installed on more than one machine but not in use at the same time. I have it on both laptop and desktop and on my laptop I have the same results as you do (No BIAB presets). However my purchased amps from Fender and Ampeg are all there so I am not sure what is going on with that.

Same with me I can not get Amplitube to show the BIAB presets let me know if you find some thing Thanks!
